Process maps are the visual representation of that "doing", offering a clear and concise understanding of how work gets done in an organisation. It demonstrates who is responsible and accountable for various activities thereby letting the organisation, department, line management or staff gain greater efficiencies, which saves both time and money.
It also allows all concerned to identify redundancies quickly, remove duplication and increase the understanding of key steps and responsibilities within any policy, process or procedure.
