Conducting Competency-Based Interviews That Get Results!

Take your interviewing skills to the next level, with this competency-based interviewing workshop!

When it comes to the interview process, prospective candidates are usually prepared for the traditional set of interview questions, with responses that are generally predictable and often identical among candidates. In this regard, they do not always give an accurate representation of the candidate and their past performance, the likelihood of organisational fit, or the probability of future performance in the desired job.

A competency-based interview is known to be a much more effective interview technique, used to identify and assess transferable skills, abilities, experiences and mindsets that are required for a particular job. This training workshop has been developed to increase the confidence, skill, and capacity of participants to conduct effective, legally sound, and practical competency-based interviews. This, in turn, will allow participating organisations to derive more value from the interview process and increase the likelihood of selecting of the best possible candidate for vacant positions. Moreover, utilising competency-based interviewing techniques can also mitigate some risks associated with the legal, reputational and financial costs many organisations bear as a result of bad hiring decisions.
