COVID-19 is not just a major health crisis affecting T&T, but it is also having a devastating impact on business. This new reality has placed further demands on Management and persons in leadership positions and has necessitated an upgrade of supervisory and leadership skills to ensure the very survival of organisations.

This programme is designed to help leaders manage the challenges facing their organisations due to the pandemic - and other attendant economic challenges - by exploring practical tools and the relevant skills needed to be effective leaders of teams, departments, business units or organisations, in what is now being called the "new normal".

Areas to be Discussed

  • Understand and define the role and function of Leaders.
  • Identify the skills required for effective supervision in the "new normal".
  • Examine the attitudes, behaviours and characteristics of effective leaders in the context of the current VUCA environment.
  • Identify gaps in current leadership styles and embracing new and more effective methods of leadership.
  • How to effectively implement and express management objectives.
  • The imperatives of emotional intelligence for leaders.
  • Identify and practice effective communication.
  • Implement tools for effective conflict management and problem-solving.
