Misty Ann Dorman-Hosein is a Human Resources professional and is currently the Senior Manager, Employee Relations at Scotiabank. Mrs. Dorman-Hosein is based n Trinidad as part of the Human Resources (HR) Shared Services Group within Canada, and leads a team of Employee Relations Specialists who support 17 countries across the Caribbean region.

Mrs. Dorman-Hosein holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. Her academic background is broad-based and diverse; she dabbles in language – both French and Spanish, and she is on her way to completing the Fellow Life Management Institute designation (financial).

Mrs. Dorman-Hosein professional experience ranges from the private sector is financial services to the public sector in health. She has had responsibility for Employee Relations at Scotiabank since 2005 which originally began with Trinidad and Tobago and has since significantly expanded. Misty was a pioneer in setting up the framework for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), among implementation of key initiatives and strategies aimed at championing a positive employee experience and sustaining the Bank’s reputation as an Employer of Choicer.

Mrs. Dorman-Hosein has brought her insights to numerous committees within her organisation both locally and on an international platform, having been involved in groups such as Scotiabank Women’s Network. Externally, Misty is a member of the Industrial Relations Committee of the ECA and associated with the HR Partnership Forum in the Financial Services sector.
